And the joke!
At the gala dinner at an international conference a US delegate turned to the Chinese delegate sitting next to him, during the soup,
and asked in a simple way ‘soupee likee?’
The Chinese delegate responded with a nod.
Later the US delegate with fish dish continues
to ask his neighbour ‘fishee likee?’
Then during the meat dish again
And then for the dessert
and the response of the Chinese delegate was always a wink and nod of the head.
At the end of the dinner the president of the conference presented the evening’s guest speaker who was none other than the Chinese gentleman who then delivered an interesting speech, witty and in perfect English, to the astonishment of its American neighbour.
When the speech ended, the speaker turned to his neighbour and with a mischievous twinkle in his eyes and asked, ‘speechee likee?’
